In addition to her writing career, Cyndi handled marketing and public relations for the Howell Carnegie District Library, assisting with a celebration of the library’s centennial and heading up a marketing campaign to remind patrons that libraries offer much more than books.
When she worked as the community organizer for the domestic violence shelter in her town, she organized the community’s first candlelight vigil to show support for victims of violence.
Cyndi believes in serving her community, which she has done in ways big and little. She’s served on the board of her son’s preschool, been co-president of her son’s elementary school parent-teacher organization and currently visits nursing homes with her dog as a volunteer with the Pet-A-Pet program.
She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University, where she wrote for The State News, MSU’s acclaimed student newspaper.
Cyndi lives in Howell, Mich., with her husband, two sons, two cats, and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who keeps them all in line. She serves on the board of the Livingston Diversity Council, belongs to the Dog Writers Association of America and is a long-time member of the South Lyon Writers Group. She enjoys hiking, journaling, gardening and bird-watching.
